The Belchertown Police Department is a full service 24-hour per-day public safety organization. The department’s members are responsive to the needs and concerns of all community members. This agency has adopted the community policing philosophy which emphasizes fostering and maintaining relationships and partnerships through effective problem solving and mediation strategies.

The Belchertown Police Department is equipped with the latest E-911 emergency dispatch and call processing technology. Dispatcher personnel are readily available to handle community emergencies, issues and concerns.
